Loctite 577 is a high technology anaerobic sealant suitable for all metal pipe threads and fittings. Taper threaded fittings seal instantly at low pressure (<100kPa). Parallel threads or loose and damaged threads require full cure before applying pressure. Threads sealing flammable gasses or fluids should be clean, accurately cut, and correctly tightened for maximum sealing and safety. Locks and seals against leakage and corrosion. Suitable for use with Natural Gas, Town Gas, and Liquified Petroleum Gas to rated pressure (2000 kPa). Seals liquid hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols, organic acids, mild mineral acids and alkalis (diluted and cold).
